The Walk-a-Thon is Wednesday, October 7th 2026! 🎉Â
Families are encouraged to come and walk alongside their student(s)! Classes will be walking throughout the day from 9:00 AM–2:45 PM. Park in the front of the school and walk around to the Playground/Bus Loop to join your student in their walk.
9:00-9:30 Â Kindergarten
9:45-10:15Â ECEC (Y5 & 4s pre)
10:30-11:00Â 1st Grade
11:00Â BREAK
11:45-12:15 Â 5th Grade
12:45-1:15Â Â 3rd Grade
1:30-2:00 Â Â 2nd Grade
2:15-2:45 Â Â 4th Grade
There are many volunteer opportunities for the Walk-a-Thon as well! From sorting T-shirts to stamping hands, taking photos or playing DJ. There's a spot for everyone!
We know some volunteer shifts overlap with class walk times and that’s not a problem. Feel free to arrive a few minutes late or leave your shift early so you can join your child for their walk. We appreciate any and all help you can give! Sign up now!

What is Walk-a-Thon?
Walk-a-Thon is Mattawan Early Elementary’s primary fundraising event and we depend on the generosity of our parents, local businesses, friends and families.Â
100% of your Walk-a-Thon donations go directly toward enriching your student's education. These donations fund the cost of field trips, enrichment assemblies, gym/playground equipment, STEM/technology supplies, books, teacher appreciation and more!Â
